LAB PTFA (Livingstone Academy Bournemouth Parent Teachers & Friends Association) was formed in September 2024 by a lively group of volunteers with a shared goal to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences for the children. We also provide those ‘little extras’ that make school memorable, such as discos, cake sales, dress down days and social events.
The PTFA exists to bring the communities of school and home closer together, encouraging parents to be more involved in their children’s education and promoting cultural exchange by ensuring students and families from all diverse backgrounds feel welcome and included.
Together, we’ve already funded a buddy bench and a brand new electric piano for the school. We’re now working towards our next goal – an outdoor covered reading gazebo that will give children a dedicated space to enjoy reading and learning in the fresh air, whatever the weather.
From discos and fairs to family celebrations, our upcoming events are all about bringing people together and making school life even more memorable.

Supporting the PTFA is a great way to support children at Livingstone Academy Bournemouth while connecting your business with our school community. Support doesn’t just come from financial contributions — sharing your skills, time or expertise also makes a real difference. Every contribution helps fund activities, resources and events that enrich school life, and we proudly promote our sponsors and supporters across PTFA events and communications.
We meet on most Tuesdays during term-time and host our AGM every January, where we invite all parents in Primary to join and discuss the forthcoming year and opportunities available for supporting the PTFA. The more people become involved, the more we can achieve and the easier it will be. You don't have to come into the school; many of our volunteering tasks can be done from home.
